Autumn is here and the 2011/12 art season is about to begin. Caren Golden Fine Art is pleased to share the following news about gallery alumni and friends.

Paul Henry Ramirez's solo exhibition with Galerie Richard,PLAYCONICS,will be on view in Chelsea through October 15th. This is the inaugural exhibition for Galerie Richard's new Chelsea space and Paul Henry Ramirez's first New York City exhibition in four years.The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog with essay by Donald Kuspit.

John Stoney's seond solo exhibition with Pierogi, "Stay close to me, it will be dark soon", will be on view through October 9th.

Carlos & Jason Sanchez will participate in Metropolis - City Life in the Urban Age at The Noorderlicht Photofestival in Groningen, Netherlands from September 11th to October 9th.
We are pleased to announce that SFMOMA has aquired two photographs by the Sanchez Brothers for the museum's permanent collection.

Travis Somerville has just completed a six week residency at the Sirius Art Centre in Cobh, Ireland. His installation for the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery will be on view through December 10th. Somerville will begin a residency at the International Studio and Curatorial Program in Brooklyn in October.

John Kalymnios' 9/11 footage was included in 9/11: The Days After showing on the History Channel on September 9th.

Don't miss Mickalene Thomas' second solo exhibition with Lehmann Maupin, More than Everything. It is on view at Lehmann Maupin's Lower East Side location through October 29th.

Devorah Sperber will be participating in Seeing Gertrude Stein: Five Stories opening on October 14th at The National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC. Sperber's monumental, 29 foot long After The Last Supper will be presented in the Inaugural Exhibition of The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art which opens on November 11th in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Tom Burckhardt will be the Weatherspoon Museum of Art's Falk Visiting Artist and will have a solo exhibition on view at the Weatherspoon from October 13th through January 8th.

Nicola López will create a large scale site-specific work, Landscape X, as part of the Guggenheim Museum's Intervals Series. Landscape X will on view in the Guggenheim's Rotunda from October 11th through 25th.

iona rozeal brown has been commissioned to create a performance piece for Performa 11.
The visual art performance festival takes place in NYC from November 1st through 21st. (check Performa 11 website for further details)
